George H.W. Bush's casket will lie in state from 5 p.m. Monday until 10 a.m. on Wednesday. America's VetDogs, which trains and places dogs with veterans and first-responders, put Sully with Bush earlier this year and announced Sunday the dog will join Walter Reed National Military Medical Center's facility dog program after a stop in NY.

Following the service at the National Cathedral, Bush will be flown to Houston on Wednesday with a scheduled arrival of around 4:30 p.m. CST. His final resting place will be alongside Barbara Bush, his wife of 73 years who died in April at the age of 92, and Robin Bush, the daughter they lost to leukemia in 1953 at age three.

Sully has his own Instagram account; here he is shown "assisting with voting" as Mr Bush cast his ballot in last month's U.S. presidential mid-term election.

"Obviously we disagreed pretty strongly on domestic policy and I wasn't thrilled with the kind of campaign he ran, but I think his greatest contribution was in negotiating the end of the Cold War with (Soviet leader) Mikhail Gorbachev", Dukakis told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. The casket will return to Texas for a funeral Thursday afternoon at his presidential library in College Station. "Bush of course was defeated for re-election and most people at the time considered him a failed president" because of a recession during his time in the White House. We will cherish their time with us forever.

Saline Memorial Hospital admitted a total 13 adults and children who were injured in the crash, Spokeswoman Rebecca Jones said. Two patients underwent emergency operations, said Chanda Chacon, the hospital's chief operating officer.

The custom-painted unit incorporates the colors of the Air Force One used during Bush's years as president, from 1989 to 1992.

Sully worked for Bush over the summer after former First Lady Barbara Bush died.

In Texas, students, staff and visitors have been flocking to Bush's presidential library on the campus of Texas A&M University. The current president gave Bush, a decorated WWII naval aviator who flew several combat missions, a brief salute before the first couple left the Capitol.

Two days after Bush's death at age 94, family spokesman Jim McGrath posted a touching photograph Monday of the yellow Labrador retriever lying down in front of Bush's casket, with the accompanying phrase "Mission Complete" and the hashtag #Remembering41. The casket will then be rolled along a path through woods, over a bridge and over a creek for burial during a private graveside service with Bush's family.
