Jake Gyllenhaal Teases Role As 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' Villain Mysterio

In his first ever post, he can be seen reading "The Amazing Spider-Man" comic book.

Make way for Jake Gyllenhaal, on Instagram and in Marvel Cinematic Universe. The title of this issue in particular is 'The Return of the Man Called Mysterio!' and Jake suddenly realises his role in the next Sony/Marvel collaboration.

After much speculations that Jake will be playing a part in the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, the actor has confirmed that he is indeed joining the Spider-Man: Far From Home movie and fans are excited!

He jokingly captioned the post: "I just realized I'm not playing Spider-Man".

The role will be the actor's first major part in a superhero blockbuster film.

A number of Iranian media have reported a vehicle explosion in the largest port city in Sistan-and-Balochistan province, Chabahar. An Iranian ethnic Arab separatist Sunni militant group and Islamic State both claimed responsibility for that attack.

Editors at The Hollywood Reporter claimed in May that Gyllenhaal was in talks to play Mysterio, and in October, photos from the production in the Czech Republic surfaced online and showed him dressed in a suit and cape.

Gyllenhaal was most recently seen onscreen in Jacques Audiard film The Sisters Brothers and in Paul Dano's Wildlife. He is a special effects experts who uses his talents to commit crimes.

Marvel has three movies set to launch next year, including Captain Marvel (March), Avengers 4 (May), and Spider-Man: Far From Home (July), so marketing for these movies has already started.

The main characters from Homecoming will all return, with Tom Holland of course reprising his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya returning as Michelle Jones, and Jacob Batalon returning as Ned, while Marissa Tomei will also return as May Parker.

Jon Watts is returning as director, while Chris McKenna and John Francis Daley have penned the script. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal are among the producers.
