2.0 box office collection crosses Rs 100 crore on opening day

In 2.0, Chitti is reassembled by Dr Vaseegaran to fight an evil named PakshiRaja (Akshay Kumar), an ornithologist who has turned against human beings. The movie has been released in nearly 10,000 screens globally with around 32,000-33,000 shows across India. Other supporting actors of this movie are Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain.

Paytm Entertainment on its official Twitter account has been promoting the movie at full speed. At first Paytm is giving 50% cashback which is up to Rs 150. Now the website is even offering hd streams of 2.0 as well and it all with HD cam prints. Reportedly, "2.0" happens to be the most expensive Indian film being made to date. Book My Show has sold over 2.2 million tickets for the film till Friday noon.

The global collection of 2.0, which was released in over 10,500 screens, crossed ₹100 crore on the first day, making it the second movie to achieve the feat after Baahubali-2 (₹217 crore).

Reports say that the film has grossed more than Rs. 80 crore (across all formats) at the box office in India only.

This film is praised for being the costliest movies in the history of Indian cinema with a budget of almost Rs 500 crore already raked in the amount through its satellite rights and other revenues sources.
