Dez Bryant reacts after reportedly suffering season-ending injury in Saints practice

According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the Saints fear that Bryant tore his Achilles during today's practice.

Bryant was helped off of the field after apparently suffering the tear on the last play at practice, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

"Things was just starting to heat up for me", Bryant said on Twitter a few hours after the injury.

Bryant had just signed a one-year deal with the Saints this week after spending the past seven months as a free agent. "I won't question the man upstairs. this is the ultimate test. thank you everyone for the prayers".

In 16 games past year for the Dallas Cowboys, Bryant had 69 catches for 838 yards and six touchdowns.

The veteran center signed with Los angeles this week after clearing waivers on a contract buyout with the Suns. We've seen it getting better over the last four or five games but it's got a long way to go".

The Saints signing Bryant meant he was likely to play against his former team on November 29.

Payton said he spoke to Bryant before the draft and any interest was put on hold when the team drafted Tre'Quan Smith.

NFL players across the league wished Bryant well on social media.

On the Saints' end, the team was in some serious need of wide receiver depth when they added Bryant and now they're back at square one.
