Razer Phone 2 Gets An Official Launch Date

Razer Phone 2 Gets An Official Launch Date

In an earnings call over a week ago, the company confirmed that it was indeed working on a second generation Razer phone, though no specs were detailed at that time.

We're yet to hear any news on a Razer Phone 2 release date, but seeing as its predecessor arrived in November previous year we expect the new handset to land in the same month this time around. The Razer Phone launched in November 2017 is the company's first ever smartphone. As of right now, the original Razer Phone is still the only smartphone capable of 120Hz display refresh (an fantastic feature), so we don't imagine Razer Phone 2 will ditch that.

E-cigarette use is an 'epidemic', FDA chief says
Companies whose products are pulled from shelves will have to prove a net positive public health benefit before sales can resume. In the spring, the agency issued more than 60 warning letters and fines to businesses that sold JUUL brand products to minors.

Further support for the idea that this event will be the premiere of the Razer Phone 2 comes by way of a leaked render, surfacing earlier this week. Razer thinks you are. Other notable features of the original Razer Phone included a 120Hz display, 8GB of RAM, and a dual rear camera setup, and so we could see similar features in the Razer Phone 2, especially since it'll be a gaming-focused device. After the Razer Phone launch, we have a few more smartphone launches with "Gaming Smartphone" tag.

As per the renders, the Razer Phone 2 bears a striking resemblance to its predecessor and some subtle differences are only noticeable if you look very closely. Interestingly, the event invite mentions "flagship gaming" and shows a green outline of what appears to be a smartphone.
