Urena banned 6 games for hitting Acuna

On Wednesday, Miami Marlins right-hander Jose Urena used his only pitch of the night to hit Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr.

Snitker called Urena's actions a "damn shame" after the game.

With another leadoff clout Tuesday, Acuna became youngest player in Major League Baseball history to homer in five straight games, and he went deep again in that game, a 10-6 Braves win. "That kid didn't deserve that".

Atlanta Braves' Ronald Acuna Jr. reacts after being hit by a pitch from Miami Marlins' Jose Urena during the first inning of a baseball game on August 15, 2018, in Atlanta.

The 97.5 miles per hour fastball hit Acuña square in the left elbow and left the hot-hitting rookie in pain. "Fastest pitch he's thrown all year and it was clearly intentional and it wasn't right", Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman said.

The two planned to meet later, but Watts, 34, didn't answer her phone or show up for a doctor's appointment, the friend said. He is charged with three counts of murder in the first degree and three counts of tampering with physical evidence.

Order appeared to be restored until Acuna walked near the mound while on his way to first, took off a protective wrap and tossed it toward the mound. No punches were thrown.

Urena was immediately ejected from the game and both benches were warned.

Acuña stayed in after being hit but left before the top of the second inning.

"They're killing you. You've lost three games, he's hit three home runs". He was the first player to hit leadoff homers in three straight games since Brady Anderson led off with homers in four straight games in 1996 as a member of the Orioles.

He tied the Atlanta record of five straight games with a homer, set by Brian McCann in 2006.
