Nintendo Switch Online delayed until 2nd half of September

Nintendo Entertainment System - Nintendo Switch Online - A selection of classic NES™ games with newly added online play. Earlier Nintendo announced of bringing the Nintendo Switch Online service by this September.

While both Microsoft and Sony have shown the value proposition of their services over the years, Nintendo's experience in the online space has lagged.

However, in order to enjoy the Nintendo Switch Online service, you need to have a persistent internet connection.

Brazen Taliban attack raises pressure on Afghan forces
Police special forces have also been deployed to help block the Taliban advance, an Afghan security official said. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed parts of the city had been seized and scores of people killed.

Also, in case you are already an owner of the Nintendo Switch, you still have to buy the membership to avoid disruption of the online play. All we don't know is when exactly we'll have to start paying for the privilege to play our games online. 3 will be joined by Donkey Kong, Ice Climber, The Legend of Zelda, Mario Bros., Soccer, Super Mario Bros. and Tennis.

Nintendo first announced its online subscription service in January past year with a launch planned for the summer, but by the time June rolled around the date was pushed back to 2018. In addition, members will have access to a Nintendo Switch Online app and a 'save data cloud backup'. Nintendo says that an actual, final release date will be announced as we get closer to launch, but the company better get to work in deciding on one because we're closing in on that deadline quickly. Are you excited for the online features for the Switch console?

Nintendo's online platform may not be as robust as the competition's just yet, but it's also going to be significantly cheaper, which could make it more appealing to families (Nintendo's bread-and-butter).
