WhatsApp Gets New One Way Group Messaging Feature

WhatsApp Gets New One Way Group Messaging Feature

If you have not received the latest WhatsApp update, go to your app store, and manually update the application. Since 2017, the app has added live location sharing, the ability to export user data to follow GDPR requirements, and an option to switch from voice calls to video calls. The first thing mentioned in the changelog is the new option now available to group admins that enables them to choose to allow only admins to send messages to a group.

The district administration of Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, has asked administrators of WhatsApp groups to get themselves registered within 10 days, PTI reported. Facebook is assuring users that the feature is now rolling out all around the world so it could just take a bit of time to become available.

The feature will be rolled out across phones in the near future. It will soon be enabled for the latest WhatsApp stable version for Android (2.18.191).

Can you trust the admin of your group chat? Select the admin in "Group info" and tap "Dismiss as admin". Once the permission has been changed, all group participants will be notified in the group with a particular message.

Paul George will opt out, become unrestricted free agent
He averaged 8.4 points and 3.9 rebounds off the bench last season, seeing his playing time increase in the playoffs versus Utah. George, a native of Southern California, and LeBron James are the focus of the Lakers free agent recruiting efforts.

Admins of WhatsApp groups must provide details of all group members, and show up before authorities whenever they need details on information shared on the group, according to The Indian Express.

Either way, the feature coming to WhatsApp, a platform with over 1.5 billion users, can only improve it and make it more useful for people's needs.

Want more posts like this delivered to your inbox? Users can also use the feature to close the group at night to block messages from users, and then re-open it it in the morning.
