Thai Cave Rescuer Says Elon Musk’s Mission Was a

Musk wrote a series of tweets attacking British diver Vern Unsworth, with one saying the expat living in Thailand was "sus".

Musk responded Sunday in a weird series of tweets referring to Unsworth without using his name as "pedo guy".

The Elon Musk story took a freakish turn Sunday morning, as the world famous entrepreneur took to Twitter to suggest a critic of his submarine rescue plan is a pedophile.

This came after Unsworth criticised a miniature submarine which Musk had proposed to help rescue the schoolboys and their coach from the Tham Luang cave complex, calling it a "PR stunt".

"He can stick his submarine where it hurts", Unsworth said when asked about Musk's plan. Secondly, nearly everyone is in agreement that he went way overboard with the remark accusing Unsworth of being a pedophile just because he doesn't like what the man said, as can be seen in the replies to his tweet.

They alleged Musk's donation proves he is not an ally of progressive causes, and instead shows he is a closeted conservative.

US Mission Commander Major Charles Hodges admitted he told the Thai Governor he thought there was only a "60 or 70 per cent chance" of successfully bringing the boys out alive.

"The submarine, I believe, was about 5' 6" long, rigid, so it wouldn't have gone round the corners or round any obstacles.

Mr usk had earlier provoked condemnation by tweeting that the head of the rescue mission, who had described the use of the submarine pod prototype as "not practical", was not really in charge of the operation. It wouldn't have made the first fifty metres into the cave from the dive start point.

"He's just a PR stunt merchant - that's all he is", Mr Unsworth added.

According to Buzzfeed and Business Insider, Musk doubled down on his "pedo guy" remark on Twitter when answering replies to his statement.

The NYT writer said she was dumbfounded by Mr Musk's tweet and called on the billionaire to apologise. On Sunday, Musk called him a "pedo" on the social network. The tweet was later deleted.

"He was one of the driving forces in getting everything done and clarifying for us divers what was going on".

"Mini-sub is ready if needed".

There is no indication that Musk's statement is true, and he provided no justification or proof to back up his claim.
