'Sue The EU!' - Donald Trump's Brexit Advice To Theresa May Revealed

Theresa May has revealed that U.S. President Donald Trump has advised her to "sue the European Union (EU)".

At their joint news conference at Chequers on Friday, the United States president confirmed that he had offered his thoughts on how she should approach the talks, but declined to go into detail.

"No, no - we're going into negotiations with them", May said she told the U.S. president.

At the press conference, however, Trump called it "fake news", saying that the report omitted the positive things he said about May. "'Don't walk away from negotiations because then you are stuck'".

Ms May also thanked the US President for his support over Russia, which Britain has blamed for a nerve agent attack on a former Russian spy in south-west England in March.

"Theresa May has got a lot of great qualities - I am not sure if it is the right leader at the right time", Bannon, Trump's former strategist and a key player in his 2016 election campaign, was quoted by the Daily Telegraph as saying.

The Prime Minister acknowledged that there were strong feelings regarding the terms of Britain's withdrawal from the EU.

May faces tricky votes in the House of Commons this week that Euroskeptics in her Conservative Party see as a test of opposition to her Brexit policy, which lays out a closer relationship to the EU's single market that many hoped for.

US senators want ban on China's ZTE, despite Trump action
President Donald Trump has said he's prepared to put tariffs on as much as $450 billion worth of Chinese exports. Shares of ZTE in Shenzhen also surged by the maximum daily 10 percent following the announcement of the news.

He added: "The deal she is striking is a much different deal than the one people voted on". She also rejected suggestions it would prevent the United Kingdom striking free trade deals around the world.

May's comments comes at a politically perilous moment for the prime minister, who is facing calls for a confidence vote over her leadership of the Conservative party, The Guardian commented.

Before the paper was published, Brexit Secretary David Davis and Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson resigned, saying it would not deliver the Brexit people voted for in the 2016 European Union referendum. Along with Mr Johnson, the man who had been leading the Brexit negotiations, David Davis, also quit in protest.

She added that Brexit must not destroy the "integrated supply chains and just-in-time processes on which jobs and livelihoods depend".

She had previously described a suggestion made to her by Mr Trump as "too brutal".

Meanwhile Boris Johnson, in his first public intervention since his resignation last week, appealed for people to take a more positive view of Britain's prospects outside the EU. He was reported saying in the British newspaper The Mail on Sunday, "She is an incredible woman, she is so sharp, she is so attractive, when I say lovely - inside and out".

In an interview with the Sun tabloid, President Trump criticized Theresa May for being too weak in her negotiations with the EU.

For the common rule book only covers industrial goods and agricultural products and only those rules which are necessary to ensure free flow at the border. Mrs May, he contended, was "a Remainer who remains a Remainer".
