Gerrard signs Sodiq on a season long loan for Rangers from Roma

Coulibaly, a Mali worldwide, could still be added to Gerrard's Europa League squad with Gers set to begin their qualifying campaign on Thursday night against Macedonian side Shkupi.

The loan move is subject to worldwide clearance.

Sadiq joins Rangers after having spent last season on loan at Torino and Dutch side NAC Breda.

"The plan was to stay in Rome this season but when Steven Gerrard calls, you can't say no", Sadiq told Rangers TV.

That's if paperwork can be completed before midnight on Wednesday, with new Gers boss Steven Gerrard admitting he's keen to bring in the 21-year-old.

"I'm very happy to be here", Coulibaly, capped nine times for Mali, said.

Britain's May reasserts her authority after Brexit resignations
Some Conservative Brexit supporters are still incensed over what they see as her breach of a promise to break cleanly from the EU. They are planning a show of strength in the Commons next week in votes on the Prime Minister's flagship Trade Bill.

"But I'm confident that come kick-off the players will be ready to go".

"He told me about the team; even though I already knew about Rangers and that they are the most successful team in the world".

Gerrard remains in the market for further reinforcements this summer and a move for Mali global midfielder Lassana Coulibaly is still ongoing at present. He just asked me whether if I wanted to join his team or not and I said yes.

But with midfield signings being made at Angers across this summer, Coulibaly was going to find first team chances hard to come by, but at Rangers the Mali International will likely be heralded as one to watch throughout the campaign.

Allan McGregor, Jon Flanagan, Scott Arfield, Jamie Murphy, Connor Goldson, Nikola Katic and Ovie Ejaria all joined earlier in the window.
