The Coors Light Birds Nest at TPC Scottsdale will once again be rockin' when the PGA Tour makes its stop in the Valley for the 2019 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Liberty National in Jersey City will host next year's event while TPC Boston in Norton will serve as host in 2020 and 2022.

The season resumes in January with the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii, features The Players Championship shifting to March from May to avoid the PGA Championship and again sees the Masters open the major schedule April 11-14.

However, all is not lost for area golf fans, as The Northern Trust, the first leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs, will begin a rotation between Boston and New York City.

The discrepancy in the men's and women's pay was obvious in Sunday's results: The PGA Tour's Greenbrier Classic had a total purse of $7.3 million, with $1.31 million awarded to the victor, Kevin Na; the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic had a total purse of $2 million, with $300,000 awarded to the champion, Kim Sei-young.

The RBC Canadian Open moves a week before the U.S. Open, held next year at Pebble Beach. If they play the following week's WGC event in Memphis, golfers are looking at five tournaments in six weeks to end the season.
