The effort that swelled and gained momentum after the group was found last Monday involved more than 100 other rescuers inside the cave, 1,000 members of the Thai army, and nearly 10,000 others who facilitated everything from rides up to the cave site to meals of fried chicken, eggs and rice, and noodle soups for divers, volunteers, and journalists.

Eight of the boys were rescued by a team of Thai and global divers on Sunday and Monday.

This is the third mission that has been undertaken by the Thai authorities in order to rescue the young boys, who became trapped in the cave by rising floodwater several weeks ago.
