Now, customise your swipe actions on Gmail app

Now, users can customize the left and right swipe gesture, choosing to either delete a message, mark one as read or unread, move, snooze, or archive.

That could be a way bigger deal than it sounds.

"Pick the ones you want and when you browse any inbox or folder inside Gmail, a simple swipe in each direction will perform your chosen action", the report added. However the good news for Gmail users on mobile is that in the latest update to the app, Google is finally allowing users to create customizable swipes.

It's particularly powerful paired with Gmail's new snooze feature - if the constant ping of new emails drives you insane, you can snooze them until a specified time, bringing you that much closer to email nirvana.

However, the folks at Android Police have been given the power, and when they go into Settings General Settings, they can tap on the "Swipe actions" option to open up a new customizable interface.

As of now, this option is not available for iOS users of Gmail, but it is expected that very soon the company will launch an upgrade update for iOS users too.
