Jon Stewart Defends Samantha Bee After Ivanka Trump Slur

Bee's language came just days after Roseanne Barr's hit sitcom "Roseanne" was canceled after she made racist comments about former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett.

Bee, who spent more than a decade working as Stewart's Daily Show correspondent, apologized last week for her on-air slur against Ivanka Trump and Full Frontal advertisers State Farm and Autotrader suspended their sponsorship of the weekly show. Bee apologized for the remark Thursday.

It was inappropriate and inexcusable.

Trump showed his support for Barr by criticizing Bob Iger, the CEO of ABC's parent company.

Whedon was also not alone in his degrading remarks about Ivanka Trump.

There are no details as to what she will say about the backlash she received for her words, but CNN's source indicates Bee and her writing team have been formulating a response since last week.

The short-fingered vulgarian has coarsened public discourse so much that nobody was genuinely shocked or outraged when late-night comic Samantha Bee called Ivanka Trump a "feckless cunt".

"Why aren't they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the terrible language used on her low ratings show?" he tweeted early Friday.
