IPhone SE 2, iOS 12, Apple Watch and MacBook update TODAY

Apple CEO Tim Cook is expected to kickstart the keynote, which will see the iPhone manufacturer preview some of its upcoming software updates for iOS, watchOS, tvOS and macOS. In general though, iOS 12 is predicted to largely be stability updates and bug fixes. But with a 1 billion iPhone user base under its belt, Apple will surely look to catch up its voice assistant with newer and more AI-enabled features so as to compete with Amazon's Alexa and the Google Assistant. It's not clear what exactly will be part of the iOS 12 announcement, whether the brand will reveal preferred partners for using the tech or whether it will be a more preliminary launch.

With no hardware announcements planned for next week, Apple will instead focus on addressing recent concerns with device addiction, Bloomberg claims, after the firm was called out earlier this year for the "harmful effect" that its iPhones are having on young people. This means that the potential new MacBook Pro could offer performance improvements of up to 6 percent in single core workloads and 43 percent in multi core workloads.

Additionally, Apple will also likely show off the newest version of its desktop operating system, macOS.

There may also be more usage for the Animoji characters, potentially being added to FaceTime and made useable in real time.

A new report from Bloomberg also suggests this, with rumors that much like Google in Android P, Apple is going to make a new "Digital Health" feature created to help you better manage your time on your device a big focus of iOS 12.

Traditionally a software developer's conference, the two big ones for WWDC are the next installments of iOS and macOS, which will then enter the consumer beta stage and you'll be able to try them ahead of their release in September/October.

Apple will introduce the technology of "Digital health". Shush mode is pretty straightforward.
