Anthony Bourdain’s Girlfriend, Asia Argento, Speaks Out About His Death

Argento worked on an episode of Bourdain's CNN show "Parts Unknown" during the show's eighth season.

CNN confirmed the death on Friday. Obama and Bourdain discussed Vietnamese-American relations, among other things, while dining on grilled pork, noodles and beer at a small family-run restaurant in Hanoi.

Zimmern says that when he and Bourdain met up, they would talk about "wanting to get off this insane roller coaster, but at the same time knowing that this was our work", he told The New York Times.

The distinct power of stories-for good, for evil-was something you understood intrinsically.

"It is with great respect for the leader, the author, the TV entertainer, the visionary Anthony Bourdain that I express all my condolences to his family and to the anonymous people around the world who he made dream so much", Mr Nasti said. "We'll miss him", Obama wrote on Twitter, accompanying the photo, taken by his White House photographer Pete Souza.

Bourdain became an outspoken supporter of the #MeToo movement after Argento accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault in October. Apparently there was a darker side to Bourdain and to the life he lived.

The Parts Unknown host used the belt of his hotel bathrobe to hang himself.

Gladys said Ripert had told her that "Tony had been in a dark mood these past couple of days, but she had no idea why he might have chose to kill himself".

PM 'to appeal for unity' on Brexit vote
But the resignation by Phillip Lee underlined the deep rifts in the party over Brexit that makes such votes anything but easy. The bill returns to the House of Commons with the PM hoping to overturn 15 amendments made by peers in the House of Lords.

His death comes just days after popular fashion designer Kate Spade was found dead in NY.

Bourdain leaves behind a daughter and a girlfriend, Italian actress Asia Argento.

Bourdain explained to People, "We both work a lot and we're both away from home a lot so we're both circus freaks in the same circus-or different circuses I guess".

"I'm sorry I've been dreading this conversation", he said.

Of course, going deep with a troubled family member or friend is not easy.

Bourdain said his youth was punctuated by drug use and he dropped out of Vassar College after two years.

Working in restaurants led him to the Culinary Institute of America, where he graduated in 1978, and began working in kitchens in New York City.

"What I set out to do was write a book that my fellow cooks would find entertaining and true", he said. And in each episode, Bourdain brimmed with a curiosity and swagger that left many viewers thinking: I want to go there - with that guy. Funeral arrangements were not immediately available.
