50M Units Sold with 400M Players Worldwide + Sanhok Release - PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

The new PUBG map, officially named Sanhok and previously known as Codename: Savage, is only 4 kilometers by 4 kilometers big. "And your mission progress is always tracked, so you can buy the Event Pass late in the event and still get all the rewards you've earned". Called the Event Pass, this new system solves the game's severe progression problem, while also rewarding players more regularly with cosmetic content. This makes it a quarter of the size of the Erangel and Miramar maps, and similar to the map sizes of rival battle royale game Fortnite. However, there is one distinct difference: the Event Pass will last for only about four weeks, unlike Fortnite's 10-week period for its Battle Pass.

In celebration of the game's sales milestone, the studio detailed that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is now available at a discount on Steam for $19.99, which marks a 33% discount from its normal price.

Players who don't purchase the Event pass will still get to take cracks at these missions, but they will only receive temporary access to the cosmetic items with the exception of a single special item that will be permanently available once unlocked.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is taking a page from its competitors' playbooks this time around.

We will always stand for immigration policies that preserve every person's dignity and human rights. Microsoft called the post's deletion, which was a response to the backlash, a mistake.

The first one of these, the Sanhok Event Pass, will be available alongside the map's launch on Friday, June 22. Each Pass is time-limited, requiring players to complete assorted in-game challenges to level up their Pass and unlock new content.

If all that content wasn't enough, the QBZ95, an AR which fires 5.56 rounds, will be introduced exclusively to Sanhok, replacing the SCAR-L in the weapon pool. While the content unlocked will be themed around Sanhok, players will be able to complete the required tasks to unlock the content on any of the game's maps.

If this all works out for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, you can guarantee PUBG Corp will be treating its staff to a chicken dinner.
