Kent State graduate's photo with AR-10 goes viral

The internet had conflicting opinions on her move, with majority expressing their disapproval with the graduate's idea.

Kaitlin Bennett graduated from Kent State University and posted a photo carrying a rifle with the words "come and take it" on her graduation cap.

"I have no apologies for my graduation photos", Bennett wrote in a follow-up tweet. "I should have been able to do so as a student - especially since 4 unarmed students were shot and killed by the government on this campus", with the hashtag #CampusCarryNow. To Bennett, the photo was the culmination of her years as a conservative student activist, during which she advocated for students to be able to carry concealed weapons on the same campus where, nearly 50 years ago, the Ohio National Guard opened fire into a crowd of unarmed students protesting the Vietnam War, killing four and wounding nine.

"I believe not only that those four students would still be alive today had they had the right to carry on campus, but that students today would be much safer", Bennett explained. "I discover it insulting that the varsity values the lives of their company greater than these attending the college for 4 years".

Petersen is considered to be the ideal super-sub. "He played for us with full commitment and he has a very, very good character".

In April, a University of Tennessee at Chattanooga student named Brenna Spencer shocked many by posing for a graduation photo wearing a "Women for Trump" T-shirt and a handgun sticking out of the waistband of her white jeans.

"A lot of the feedback has been pretty harsh", said Bennett, "I've received death threats, people have told me to kill myself, and there have been racially charged comments". "I don't know why they are threatening anyone".

Bennett mentioned although she's acquired demise threats due to her submit, she has no regrets. She was also voicing a wide-held belief that the Second Amendment was intended as means for Americans to defend themselves against the government.

The past few days have been trying, but Bennett plans on standing her ground and exercising her 2nd amendment right. And though this policy may be well-intentioned, Bennett says that it suggests that students are less deserving of protection.
