Gas prices going up, where you can find cheap gas

Lansing is seeing a rise in gas prices this past week.

The average price in Michigan is $2.93 - 7 cents more than last week and 52 cents more than a year ago, according to Dearborn-based auto club AAA Michigan. "Some of the factors at play in the rising prices: President Trump's withdraws the US from the nuclear deal with Iran and oil supplies that have continued to drop as USA exports surpass Venezuela-a surprising feat given Venezuela has the largest proven oil reserves in the world".

But drivers appear to be shrugging off those higher costs.

"The highest gas prices since 2014 won't keep travelers home this Memorial Day weekend", Albert said.

Despite the higher pump prices, AAA predicts more than more than 41.5 million Americans will travel this Memorial Day weekend, with 36.6 million of that number traveling by auto.

Encrypted Emails May Be Readable
Sebastian Schinzel , one of the researchers, promised in a Tweet to provide more details of the vulnerabilities on May 15. It's believed that the vulnerabilities exist in the email clients themselves, rather than the PGP encryption protocol.

Oil prices have continued to surge, leading to sharply higher prices at the pump, said Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy.

Huntsville- $2.57, up 0.9 cents per gallon from last week's $2.56.

But if you're looking for the cheapest gas, there are options out there. The highest was about $2.97 in the Ann Arbor area.

"Gas prices are their highest in years, yet that doesn't seem to be slowing motorists down", said Mark Jenkins, a spokesman for AAA and the Auto Club Group.

He pegged the odds at 65 percent that pump prices will hit $3 for the summer driving season.
