Trump has reportedly halted new sanctions against Russian Federation

President Donald Trump's battle with his own administration over Russia policy continued as he walked back economic sanctions targeting Russian companies connected to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's chemical weapons program the day after Trump's United Nations ambassador, Nikki Haley, announced the penalties. She discusses with trump's planned statement before a television interview.

"As a military spouse, I know that "mission accomplished" means you have one task now in front of you, and when it's completed, it is mission accomplished", Ms. Haley said.

"We're still committed to defeating ISIS", Sanders said on Monday.

Haley announced on CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday that the US Treasury Department would formalize additional sanctions on Russian Federation the following day, but The Post reported that President Donald Trump had yet to sign off on the move.

"The worldwide community will not allow chemical weapons to come back into our everyday life", she said in an interview aired Sunday.

Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Theresa May on Saturday said the military strikes on Syria were not about regime change, but about sending a clear message that the global community will not stand by and tolerate the use of chemical weapons.

"They were discussed but it was chose to hold off for a little while", that official said.

The White House on Monday said it was considering additional sanctions on Russian Federation following a suspected poison gas attack in Syria, but has not made a decision yet. "The fact he was making this more normal and that Russian Federation was covering this up, all that has got to stop".

Does anyone know what's going on in this administration? No?

Russian Federation stocks, bonds and the ruble are among the worst performers this year amid investor concern the USA would impose sanctions for meddling in the election and refusing to condemn Syria for chemical weapons attacks.

Trump still believes he can negotiate with Putin, but that it is not likely to be productive if he is also criticizing him repeatedly, the first official said.

The United States has taken a series of recent measures against Russia, including expelling diplomats over a poisoning case in Britain and imposing sanctions against 24 Russians, including Putin allies, over interference in the US presidential election and other "malign activity". "We are evaluating but nothing to announce right now", she said.

She said the government also needed to act quickly to ensure the safety of those carrying out the operation.
