Russian Federation prepares major response to U.S. sanctions

President Donald Trump warned Russian Federation on Wednesday that missiles "will be coming" in response to the 7 April gas attack.

Russian Federation said on Saturday it would consider supplying S-300 surface to-air missile systems to Syria following the Western strikes, but this was not discussed at the meeting with Assad, agencies reported.

"We will facilitate the arrival of the team to anywhere they want, in Douma, to check whether or not there was use of chemical substances", Syrian Ambassador Bashar Jaafari said.

But she says, "No final decision has been made".

The Russian Foreign Ministry also claimed that following Syrian rebels' withdrawal from the eastern Ghouta suburbs of Damascus, stockpiles of chemical agents were allegedly found there. "But our efforts have been repeatedly thwarted" by Syria and Russian Federation, she said. He told Russia: "You shouldn't be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!" Russian Federation said it deployed military police in Douma on Thursday after the town was taken over by government forces.

A global chemical warfare watchdog group said its fact-finding mission would go as planned in Douma, where the apparent use of poison gas against civilians on April 7 that killed more than 40 people compelled the Western allies to launch their attack.

The U.S., France and Britain have been in extensive consultations about launching a military strike as early as the end of this week, U.S. officials have said.

British Minister Davis said his decision then to vote against the action was based on a lack of clear evidence and a lack of a clear plan.

After Trump's tweet, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a British-based war monitor with a network of sources on the ground, reported that pro-government forces were emptying main airports and military air bases.

Julian Draxler rounded off the scoring for PSG in the 86th minute, with German attacker turning home Thomas Munier's cross. The visitors did manage to reduce the deficit before the break courtesy of a close-range finish from Ronny Lopes.

"We must avoid a nuclear conflict", Pushkov said. The Pentagon has said the strikes successfully hit the three chemical weapons facilities which were targeted.

Trump's bellicose tweets came in response to a warning from Russia's ambassador to Beirut, who took to a television network run by the armed group Hezbollah to declare that any United States missiles would be shot down "as well as the sources they were fired from". "We can't risk losing our face", he said on Rossiya state television. Other Russian officials - both from Moscow and speaking at the United Nations - alleged quickly after Saturday's suspected attack that the images of the victims in Douma were a sham.

When President Barack Obama failed to authorize strikes against Syria in 2013 to enforce his "red line" on chemical weapons use, he also sent a message of permission, critics have said, even if that incident resulted in a disarmament deal.

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by phone on Wednesday and urged him to do nothing to destabilise Syria. The Kremlin readout said that Putin warned against rushing to blame the Syrian government before conducting a "thorough and objective probe".

He told reporters after a closed emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council on Thursday that "the danger of escalation is higher than simply Syria", adding: "We hope that there will be no point of no return - that the USA and their allies will refrain from military action against a sovereign state".

"Given that Trump was supposed to meet with Putin in his home city of St. Petersburg, we invited the new American president to visit us".

When Ukraine's Kremlin-friendly leader was driven from power in February 2014 by mass protests, Putin reacted to what he described as a US -driven coup by immediately sending troops to overtake Crimea and then annexing the Black Sea peninsula.

Russian Federation and Iran called the use of force by the USA and its allies a "military crime" and "act of aggression".
