RBC Heritage: Ian Poulter grabs Round 3 lead

England golfer Ian Poulter extended his recent run of form with a four-under 67 yesterday morning (Singapore time) that gave him a one-stroke lead heading into the final round of the RBC Heritage in SC. And with the game he showed at Harbour Town Golf Links, Kodaira appears like he's got more big moments on tour ahead like countryman and five-time tour victor Hideki Matsuyama.

Kim placed his approach six feet from the cup but missed his birdie putt, setting up the playoff.

Kodaira, 28, capitalised on Kim's wayward putting down the stretch after three extra holes, while overnight leader Ian Poulter slid down to seventh.

Kim, 22, was denied his third US PGA title after wins in 2016 at Greensboro and last May at the Players Championship.

Kim thought the increased winds slowed down the greens, making putts more hard on the final nine holes. "And after I started missing some, I got nervous", said Kim. "It is what it is".

World No. 31 Poulter enjoyed a bogey-free trip around Harbour Town on Hilton Head Island to reach 13-under for the week and move one shot clear of South Korea's Kim Si-woo (68) and American Luke List (67).

England upsets Australia to win netball
He opened up a massive lead early in the 42-kilometre race on the Gold Coast , and finished in 1 hour 30 minutes and 26 seconds. But third-ranked England upset the odds to claim victory over the favourites on a remarkable day of action.

Kodaira was the hardest charged and few even realized until the final threesome of Kim, Poulter and List all came back to the pack.

Heading into the final round of the RBC Heritage it was still anybody's tournament.

Entering the final round five back, Kodaira closed the gap quickly, making three consecutive birdies to open his round at Harbour Town and adding four more on the day.

Sunday's win could represent Kodaira's breakthrough on the Tour as he looks to become more of a mainstay on the final day.

World number one Dustin Johnson produced his best round of the weekend - a four-under 67 - but it was too little too late as he settled for a share of 16th. He said he plans to work things out over the break and "be ready for the Players".

Whoever leader Bryson DeChambeau (seventy five) faltered early using a triple-bogey at the par-five moment and inserted two double-bogeys over his last six holes sit seven shots.
