Palestinians: Assassinated Hamas Commander's Body To Be Returned To Gaza

A Palestinian journalist passed away on Wednesday after succumbing to wounds he sustained after being shot by Israeli forces while covering Gaza border protests on April 13. Hussein's death was confirmed by the Gaza Health Ministry on social media.

Abu Hussein was shot by Israeli occupation forces in the stomach while covering protests near Jabalia in northern Gaza, the health ministry in Gaza said.

According to eyewitnesses, Hussein, a photographer for the Gaza-based Voice of the People radio station, was wearing a protective vest marked "PRESS" at the time he was shot. "The Palestinian embassy in Malaysia has received documents signed by the Egyptian side authorising the transfer of the martyr's [Al-Batch] body to Gaza via the Rafah crossing", he explained.

Israel has dismissed claims that the country's spy agency was behind Batash's killing, suggesting instead that his killing was a "settling of accounts" between sparring terrorist factions. The army did not comment on what their specific plans might have been.

The Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate said in a statement it held the Israeli authorities "fully responsible for this crime" and called for prosecutions.

The rumors of Spider-Man PS4 getting "Iron Spider Suit" and "Spidey Suit Pack" pre-order exclusives are finally confirmed. In Marvel's Spider-Man, having a variety of suits for players to use was a must-have for us.

It is worth mentioning that Mohammad is the second journalist to be killed since the beginning of the Great March of Return nonviolent protests on March 30, which also masks the Palestinian Land Day.

At least 41 Palestinians have been killed and hundreds injured by Israeli gunfire since the protests began last month.

Batsh's expertise in making weapons could have made him a target - militants in Hamas-ruled Gaza regularly fire rockets at southern Israel, usually without causing casualties.

Israel has since accused him of being an active member of Gaza's Islamist rulers Hamas, a claim denied by his family and colleagues.

Israel says it has been warning Gazans not to approach the border fence and that it is doing what is necessary to stop the barrier from being damaged or breached.
