Mom who drove SUV with family off cliff was drunk

Jennifer Hart, who police said intentionally drove her family off a cliff in Northern California in late March, was drunk, according to preliminary toxicology reports.

Toxicology tests also found that her wife Sarah Hart and two of their children had "a significant amount" of an ingredient commonly found in the allergy drug Benadryl, which can make people sleepy.

The body was pulled from the water at 10:20 a.m.by Humboldt County Sheriff's Office searchers scanning the river about 7 miles south of where Sandeep and Soumya Thottapilly, their children Siddhant, 12, and Saachi, 9, are believed to have been plunged into its strong current, said Mendocino County Sheriff Tom Allman. California drivers are considered drunk with a level of 0.08 or higher. They say the items are consistent with a family on vacation and unspecified items were identified by relatives of the Thottapilly family.

Devonte Hart became the center of attention after the crash.

Two more are missing and another body has been found but not identified.

Meanwhile, the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office and the California Highway Patrol, Garberville Area Office, are continuing their efforts along the South Fork of the Eel River, just north of the town of Leggett California, to locate and recover a vehicle that was reported to have been submerged in the river on around 1:10 PM on Friday, April 6.

Others think that he’ll continue to use the picks himself and construct a young core that can emerge after the Cavaliers vs. Fultz is an ideal scoring guard to run alongside him, and can also take over point guard duties if the Simmons experiment fails.

Five bodies were found March 26 but three children remain missing.

The children's adoptive parents, Jennifer and Sarah Hart, and three of their siblings were confirmed dead after the crash, police said. The 15-year-old made headlines in 2014 after a photographer shot a photo of him hugging a police officer during a protest after the decision was made to not press charges against the officers who shot and killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

Argyropoulos says the family's story has spurred her to start a petition calling for a national child abuse registry that would alert states of prior reports of abuse.

Argyropoulos wrote that as a family friend she initially thought Jennifer Hart was a loving mother.

"It appears she (Hart) was about 70 feet from the edge and accelerated from there", Carpenter said.
