Joshua inspiring Khan ahead of British return

Amir Khan returned to the ring for the first time in almost two years tonight and produced one of the quickest wins in recent memory over the hapless Phil Lo Greco.

It's all at stake for comeback kid Amir Khan when he takes on Phil Lo Greco this evening, with the Bolton fighter admitting his career is as good as dead if he fails to secure a victory and promising "fireworks" in the ring as a result.

Following the fight Khan did not dismiss the Kell Brook fight entirely next up - but mentioned that it might have to happen at a catchweight for the fight to happen.

Lo Greco appeared stunned by Khan's sheer speed from the outset and as soon as he dropped him with a right hand, it looked like a foregone conclusion.

Lo Greco was clearly out of his depth but he had been in the ring with better fighters than Khan before, and no one expected the fight to end that quickly.

And though none of the students were born when the Columbine massacre took place, the effects of the shooting still linger. The superintendent and high school principal could not be reached Thursday or Friday to specify what that alternative was.

Khan has joined Brook in Eddie Hearn's promotional stable and believes the Matchroom Boxing boss can thrash out terms for a fight, with the Principality Stadium being mentioned as a potential venue. I'll make him see stars. I train smarter now. I will land that bomb on him and destroy him.

The fact that today's Khan fight is on Sky Sports Main Event is good news for Sky Sports subscribers, as it means you'll be able to tune in to a free Khan vs Lo Greco live stream via the Sky Go app.

Amir Khan is looking forward to riding the wave of interest in British boxing generated by the likes of world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua when he fights in the United Kingdom for the first time in five years.

"We have many fighters around, I want to fight the top guys, I want to win another world title".

"The weight is an issue with Kell [Brook]". I feel that my body is peaking and the gameplan that Joe is working on with me has come together. He doesn't want the fight, he just ran off.
