Fourteen years later, the studio is finally releasing a sequel to the film, The Incredibles 2.

The rise of Holly Hunter's Elastigirl, who appears to take centre stage in Incredibles 2, follows on from the success of Wonder Woman and that film's domination of the American summer movie market previous year.

And as the trailer winds down we get introduced to a brand new villain, the Scream Slayer.

We get a glimpse into the life of the Incredibles following their encounter with Syndrome in the trailer, and superheroes are back in fashion.

The hotly anticipated sequel sees Helen and Bob Parr (Craig T. Nelson) swap both superhero posts and household duties. Incredible tries to solve math homework, just to realize it's different from back when he was in school.
