Fortnite Is Getting Portable Forts

Fortnite Is Getting Portable Forts

We don't know the rarity level of the Port-a-Fort item or exactly how it works, so it's too soon to know for sure how it will impact the overall Fortnite experience.

In order to keep the game fresh, Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, have implemented various updates and patches to include new game modes, weapons, items, and other accessories since release, much to the enjoyment of community members.

Sounds great for emergencies if you don't have enough resources to quickly build when under enemy fire. As its name implies, the Port-a-Fort will instantly build a fort for anyone that uses it, and it looks as though the forts will be fairly complex as well.

The Port-a-Fort doesn't have a confirmed release date as of yet, but chances are that we'll see it arrive in this Thursday's update, as that tends to be the way things go with these Tuesday content reveals.

Light-hearted Queen Elizabeth jokes in her garden in new TV show
As he introduces the landmark documentary, Sir David says: "Trees have been a part of the Queen's life, all her life". Despite the interruptions, Attenborough said it was an honour to walk and talk with the Queen.

If the Port-a-Fort does operate in the way we think it does, it will be interesting to see the rarity and if it will in fact be a grenade.

It's not something I've ever thought about whilst playing Fortnite, but the next gadget that will be hitting the game is a portable forts. Back in Epic Games' State of Development v4 post that came back in February, a list of changes were previewed with ways that the Limited Time Mode would be changed in v2, the first of which is to make it more like the trailer that's shown at the top.

As the Port-a-Fort is now being teased in-game, we'd assumed it will be released this week, possibly alongside Week 8 Challenges.

One of Fortnite's newest changes is likely to be one of its most divisive yet.
