Boston Bruins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs - 4/12/18 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Boston Bruins snapped their three-game losing streak in dominant fashion on Saturday night.

The former Boston fourth-liner will forever be remembered in Boston for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins, when he finished his shift with a broken leg after blocking an Evgeni Malkin slap shot from about 15 feet away.

That's not without reason. Still, Boston would have the number three seed in the East and that would pit them against the Maple Leafs in the first round. They'll likely be forced to fill the losses from within the organization given the limited salary cap available after the trio of sophomores get inked to new contracts. "In saying all that, they believe they're going to win".

Cassidy is intrigued by the Bruins' match up with the Maple Leafs.

The Bruins were one of the most consistent teams in the National Hockey League from mid-November on. The Bruins are a deeper team and much better in 5-on-5 play.

If the Bruins lose to the Panthers in any fashion, Boston will finish second in the division and face the Leafs.

Nazem Kadri, one of just five players remaining on Toronto's roster from 2013, remembers thinking his 4-1 goal at 5:29 of the third was going to be enough for the Leafs to move on.

He finished the season with 35 goals, a career high, 45 assists, a career high for 80 points, a career high. They have a game against the Sabres at home against the Sabres on Saturday and by the time that game is played, they could very well be eliminated from the playoffs as the Flyers have a home game against the lowly Rangers earlier in the day.
