Blue Jackets Vs. Capitals Live Stream

The road team has won every game in the series between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Washington Capitals.

The visiting team has won all four games. Tom Wilson made it 1-0, T.J.

Although Ovechkin was twice turned away by Bobrovsky from point-blank range, including on a breakaway late in the game after a defensive miscue from Blue Jackets blue-liner Zach Werenski, the veteran forward got a measure of revenge against his countryman with 17:11 to play in the third period.

Columbus, seeking the first playoff series win in franchise history, didn't have long to dwell on Thursday night's performance. After John Carlson just missed on a 2-on-1 rush, Wilson collected a pass from Evgeny Kuznetsov and ripped a one-time over Sergei Bobrovsky's glove to open the scoring and register his second goal in two games. Washington leads the series 3-2 with Game 6 set for Monday. It marked the first game the netminder had let up fewer than two goals in a start since mid-November, a return to form for the reigning Vezina Trophy victor in a season of inconsistency. Dropping three straight games in the playoffs would be devastating, and Artemi Panarin and crew need to find a way to crack Holtby for a chance to close out this series on home ice.

Dry for the weekend, rain returns Monday
The shield of rain will continue to impact the area tomorrow night, tapering off to scattered showers from west to east. Highs will climb to the mid 50s by Sunday , and the next work week will begin with temperatures close to 60°.

While the Blue Jackets got on the board when center Boone Jenner tallied a little more than six minutes into the third period, the Capitals got back their three-goal margin with an empty-netter from Kuznetsov.

The Washington Capitals really had their backs against the wall after losing the first two games in this series here at home, but they then went on to win both games in Columbus to pull even in the series. Holtby has gone 16-7 in 24 career games against the Blue Jackets and he has allowed 2.38 gpg in those games. Bobrovsky is playing well but Holtby is just not facing the same amount of scoring chances that Bob does in a game. Their road games have averaged 6.23 gpg on the year and the first two games of this series put up seven and nine goals.

It's the Capitals momentum vs. the Blue Jackets frustration. The Capitals made no changes after winning back-to-back games in Columbus, keeping Chandler Stephenson on the second line in the absence of Andre Burakovsky, who's out for at least the remainder of the series with an upper-body injury. The teams now head back to Washington.
