Apple Stores employing contractors for on-site iPhone battery replacements

Apple Stores employing contractors for on-site iPhone battery replacements

There were leaks past year that Apple was planning a third color for iPhone X, but the company ended up launching the device in just two (Space Gray and Silver).

Apple has had 12 employees arrested over the course of previous year for leaking internal information about future software plans, according to a memo leaked (ironically) today, spotted by Bloomberg. "While it may seem flattering to be approached, it's important to remember that you're getting played", it stated, adding that once a person loses their job for leaking, finding employment elsewhere could be hard.

Apple also called part-time employees or those who normally work for AppleCare but ultimately was forced to call in people from other companies.

Apple ended the threatening memo with a plea to employees to consider "the impact of their actions", on the rest of their colleagues.

Russian Federation to Block Telegram Over Encryption Battle
Apparently, the Kremlin even uses Telegram to coordinate timings of regular conference calls with Vladimir Putin's spokesman. According to Vedomosti , Telegram now has a month to appeal the block . "Limiting access was not the goal in and of itself".

With this memo, Apple has made it clear that they have zero tolerance for leaks of confidential information. Sources from multiple Apple Stores have tipped off 9to5Mac with word that in addition to AppleCare employees, external skilled labor has been brought on to cope with incoming jobs.

The memo was published as an internal company blog post. But Apple's obsession with confidentiality and secrecy goes beyond that of most tech companies; past year, the Outline obtained a recording of an internal briefing at Apple meant to address its war on leakers. In 2017, Apple caught 29 leakers.

"Among those were Apple employees, contractors and some partners in Apple's supply chain", the company notes. "12 of those were arrested", says the terror missive from Cupertino, ironically leaked to Bloomberg.

They threw all kinds of claims against me, I had a good lawyer that completely understood the problem, did good research, and read the law correctly. [.] Everyone comes to Apple to do the best work of their lives - work that matters and contributes to what all 135,000 people in this company are doing together.
