4 takeaways from the Bucks' Game 3 shellacking of the Celtics

All the ingredients were there for the Milwaukee Bucks, down 0-2 to the Boston Celtics, to claw their way back into the teams' first-round Eastern Conference series.

Milwaukee's aggressive, switchy defense forced Boston into a lot of ugly shots and turnovers to start the game. Game 4 is Sunday in Milwaukee. He was the embodiment of the Bucks aggressive play that was lacking in the first two games.

In Game 1, they fought to an overtime finish with the Boston Celtics capturing the 113-107 victory. At this rate, Bledsoe isn't going to be able to fake to media like he doesn't know who Rozier is for much longer.

On Friday night, even after Boston got into the bonus early in the first quarter, Morris wasn't the only one who wasn't thrilled about the calls against Boston.

The C's finished the night shooting 40 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three. Odds for that game will soon be released at BetDSI Sportsbook; they figure to be similar to the Game 3 line. The Celtics did win the rebounding battle 45-37 and grabbed 17 offensive boards but it didn't matter: the team turned the ball over 18 times and had 13 shots blocked. After a dismal first quarter that left the Celtics in a 15-point hole, the end result never felt in doubt, and while Boston still seems to be in control of the proceedings, the margin isn't quite as comfortable.

Boston's starting backcourt of Terry Rozier and Jaylen Brown has dominated Milwaukee's Eric Bledsoe and Tony Snell, outscoring them 96-25 through the first two games. The Deer need to have a short memory, protect home court, and find a way to send this series back to Boston. The fiery Bucks set the tone and maintained their palpably high-level of intensity throughout the game.

Well, Maker was a poster guy for that in the Bucks' 116-92 victory over the Celtics. He's a career 38% three-point shooter and just previous year, shot a whopping 51% from downtown (16-31) in the first round of the playoffs against the Raptors. Khris Middleton led the way with 23 points and Giannis Antetokounmpo added 19 in the winning effort. Antetokounmpo's numbers were down by his standards, but he still recorded 19 points, six assists and five rebounds. A loss here and they were staring at a possible series sweep.
