Xiaomi Mi 5 gets unofficial Treble support, still in Alpha

Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi could be launching Redmi 5 in India today (14 March) at 3 pm. The phone was originally released in China in December past year. And as the name suggests, the Redmi 5 will be the successor to the popular Redmi 4 smartphone launched in India previous year. The Redmi Note 5 costs between $155 and $185, so yes, they're incredibly close in price. The e-commerce site is already displaying a banner on its homepage that suggests the Redmi 5 will be an Amazon-exclusive device. Both the Redmi 5 and the Redmi 5 Plus (or the Redmi Note 5) bring bezel-less screens to the masses.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 features a 5.7-inch FHD (1440 x 720) display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. The display is slightly smaller than the Redmi Note 5/ Note 5 pro, which come with a 5.9-inch display.

The 3 GB variant of Redmi Note 5 will be available for Rs 9,999, while its 4 GB variant can be priced at Rs 11,999.

That brought out Ronda Rousey , who pointed out that she could challenge anyone she wanted from the WWE and challenged McMahon. Rousey then said that the biggest difference between WWE and UFC is that when she was fighting in MMA she was doing it alone.

The upcoming Xiaomi phone will plug the gap between the price points of Redmi 5A and Redmi Note 5 models, which also means it will be positioned against its siblings Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite. The Adreno 506 GPU takes care of graphics in the smartphone. For photography, it sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

At the back of the phone is a 12MP Camera with features like PDAF and HDR. It even has an LED light at the front for brighter selfies. Its 3300mAh battery should last well over a day's use. The new MI Drop version is also included in the latest OS update, featuring a redesigned user interface and the new ability to transfer files between different Android phones, not just Mi devices. Looking back at Xiaomi's track record, it would be safe to assume that the Redmi 5 stands a fair chance to be successful and to sell in large numbers. It comes in Black, Light Blue, Gold and Rose Gold colors. Redmi 5 runs on Android Oreo out of the box with MIUI 9 on top. The Redmi series is Xiaomi's ultra-affordable smartphones series which offer decent specifications at extremely attractive prices. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Processor with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM.
