Still in alliance with BJP, but will fight for Andhra's rights: TDP

The Rajya Sabha was adjourned in the morning amid protests by opposition parties and NDA ally TDP on various issues including the demand for special status for Andhra Pradesh, the Cauvery row, sealing in Delhi and bank fraud.

Chandrababu Naidu said that he recalled PM Modi's speech in which he said that "the Congress killed the mother (Andhra Pradesh) by delivering a baby (Telangana)".

Unrelenting members from the TDP stormed the well, carrying placards demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh while the AIADMK demanded the setting up of a Cauvery water management board. Is it wrong to build a world-class capital?

Price Target Overview of Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM)
The current share price indicates that stock is -13.21% away from its one year high and is moving 4.87% ahead of its 52-week low. The institutional investor owned 36,580 shares of the oil and gas company's stock after selling 3,172 shares during the quarter.

State Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu told reporters that the TDP had chose to "expose" the Centre on what it had done or not done for the state - as promised in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 - by putting out relevant facts and figures before the people. "Besides, it should grant separate railway zone for Visakhapatnam, establish Dugarajapatnam port, steel factory at Kadapa and petro-chemical complex at Kakinada and resolve many other issues, including special package for the backward districts on the lines of Bundelkhand and Koraput-Kalahandi", the resolution said. "We have asked nothing more than what has already been promised to us", the Assembly resolved in the absence of the principal opposition party YSRC and the silence of BJP members.

Ramesh is now a member of the Upper House representing neighbouring Telangana since the state bifurcation. He has also been accused of putting pressure on individuals and firms to invest crores in his businesses as a "quid pro quo" for favours conferred on them between 2004 and 2009, the duration when his father was serving as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. "We strongly condemn the humiliating comments made by the people in highest positions on our demands", the resolution added. But, the situation changed after it pulled out its two ministers, P Ashokgajapathi Raju and YS Chowdary from the Narendra Modi cabinet protesting that the Centre had meted out Injustice to residual state. But the TDP has not completely shut the door on a possible rapprochement and still remains a member of the NDA.
