Nike president Trevor Edwards retiring as the company addresses workplace behavior concerns

Shares of Nike (NYSE:NKE) are relatively unperturbed by yesterday's disclosure by the company of the resignation of brand president Trevor Edwards amid a workplace behavior investigation.

Parker's memo did not specifically say that any allegations were directed at Edwards, and a spokesman for Nike told the Journal that no allegations were made against Edwards, before refusing to go into details.

Edwards, 55, had been a Nike employee since 1992 and oversaw the company's worldwide sales unit, retail and e-commerce business. A leaked letter to employees said Edwards would resign following complaints. This disturbs and saddens me...

The company then named Parker, a Nike lifer, as his replacement. Parker said the company will create a mandatory training program for managers, and he directed staff to hotlines and email addresses to report issues confidentially.

It describes the company enduring a "very hard time" and promises an HR review to "elevate" internal complaints.

The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat and gets the power from a 3500mAh battery, which gives an impressive backup. Apple users on the other side are already experiencing the incredible 3D face-recognition feature in iPhone X .

I'd like to thank Nike for his significant contributions to Nike over the last 25 years. Another executive, Elliott Hill, was elevated to the role of overseeing the consumer and marketplace division as part of Thursday's announcement. In the new structure, both Hill and Spillane will report directly to Mark Parker.

The changes, Parker wrote, "will allow for closer management and a sharper focus on our culture".

Marketing has reached out to Nike for more comments. In a statement on Thursday that seemed aimed at providing a note of stability, the company said that Mr. Parker would remain in his role at Nike past 2020.

Nike sits at the nexus of the entertainment, sports and corporate worlds - all of which have been rocked in the past year by allegations of misbehavior by prominent figures. Nike had received complaints pertaining to Martin, the report said.
