Swipe Keyboard for iOS and Android with Dragon Dictation Has Been Discontinued

Brings back memories, right? Swype+Dragon keyboard for Android will no longer be supported.

Endless third-party keyboards populate the Android and iOS ecosystem; some purely meant for the fastest typing experience, while others that play around with GIFs and quick searches. Here is a statement from Swype Product Team: Nuance will no longer be offering the Swype keyboard on iOS app store. "We hope you enjoyed using Swype, we sure enjoyed working with the Swype community", Nuance told the user in a statement.

Swype Keyboard is available on Play Store in the trail and paid version. An article on Zendesk appears to confirm the news.

However over time as more keyboard apps introduced similar features, Swype slowly faded into the background and it looks like it has since been officially discontinued.

Samsung's new 30TB SSD is the largest in the world
The device uses 32 of the company's 1TB NAND packages, with each consisting of 16 stacked layers of 512Gb V-NAND chips. And the drive is robust too, with Samsung offering a five-year warranty that's good for one full drive write per day.

Swype was massively popular on Android during the early years for the platform even though it wasn't released on the Play Store until April, 2013.

That is sad news for loyal Swype users. XDA Developers recommends Google's very own Gboard as the best replacement for the very reason that it will not be abandoned anytime soon by Google. When the developers stop rolling out updates and support the app, they may not provide assistance in case their database of content gets hacked or if hackers gain access to user data due to lack of security updates.

While Swype continues to be listed on Google Play at the time of writing this article, when trying to access the iOS version on the US App Store there is a message saying that the app is now not available.

For those of you looking for a replacement for Swype, Gboard is your best bet and also, Swiftkey is still around.
