Finally, after so much wait, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro were launched in India Today at an event in New Delhi.

The cost of the devices is not known to the Indian presentations Xiaomi. The company is focusing on mid-range phones. The company has announced the launch of its most awaited device Redmi Note 5 along with many other products.

The price factor makes Mi TV 4 a superior option to a wider audience than its competition, which is what the company is aiming for. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was unarguably the stunner out of the two smartphones launched because this is the first time Xiaomi is unveiling the smartphone.

The 55-inch Mi TV 4 comes with 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI (ARC) port, 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 USB 3.0 port and 1 Ethernet port along with the standard AV, analogue and audio out ports. It offers 18:9 aspect ratio which makes the device taller. An immersive viewing experience is captured by a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass which blends around the chassis of the smartphone. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor. The 16 GB storage with 2 GB RAM variant is now eliminated which left us only two variants - 32 GB storage with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage with 4 GB RAM. But, the Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a whopping 20-megapixel front sensor and AI-based computing for depth effect.

The phone comes with a 12MP camera at the back, and there's a 5MP camera for selfies.

The Mi TV 4 is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core Amlogic T968 Cortex A53 chipset coupled with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU.

But readers have been posed with more confusion since there is subtle difference between Note 5 and the Note 5 Pro.

If we talk about the pricing and availability, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 smartphone is priced at INR9,999. The handset will go on sale starting February 22. IDC estimates Xiaomi to have sold more than 2 million units through its offline channels previous year. In its specification, it will come with a 55-inch 4K display (3840 x 2160 pixel) display, and sport a frameless design. The Redmi Note 5 now features a tall 5.99-inch Full HD+ display instead of the 5.5-inch Full HD IPS panel found on the popular Redmi Note 4.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has been priced at Rs.13,999 for the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. A 12-megapixel Sony IMX 485 sensor is created to capture still images with 1.25-micron-meter pixels. Both the devices come with front-facing LED flash to light up the boring images in low light conditions. The phone sports a 5MP front facing the camera with LED-selfie light. One the front on Redmi Note 5 Pro there is a 20MP camera with LED flash. The device comes with top-notch specs and features at its price segment. Both models Xiaomi support all cellular networks in the world and work on Android 7 running firmware MIUI 9.
