LAPD Submits 3 Abuse Cases Against Harvey Weinstein To DA's Office

The LAPD has submitted three sexual abuse cases to the L.A. County District Attorney's office for possible charges, a spokesman said Thursday.

The D.A.'s office is also considering two other cases against Weinstein that were submitted by the Beverly Hills Police Department.

L.A. police sent the case to the DA's office on February 1.

The DA formed a special task force past year to handle such cases amid the Weinstein scandal and fallout. They have yet to provide any details about the accusers or the allegations in question.

More than 80 women have come forward since October 5 to accuse Weinstein of decades of sexual harassment and assault, with some alleging rape.
