ASUS Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 5 lite leak spill all the beans

ASUS Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 5 lite leak spill all the beans

We already know that the Taiwanese company will be at the MWC 2018 to unveil the ZenFone 5 series, but it's the first time we are getting our eyes on the phone's sketches. Now, the first look and few other details of the Zenfone 5 Lite are leaked online.

If the company continues its tradition of launching smartphones, we might see a bigger variant with the unannounced Snapdragon 670 chipset. Considering that the invite reads "Back to 5", we guess Asus will be hoping to repeat the same kind of success with the upcoming ZenFone 5 series. The company will be unveiling the Zenfone 5 and the Zenfone 5 max Pro at the MWC 2018, while the flagship Zenfone 5z will launch sometime in June 2018. Judging by the proposed image case Asus ZenFone 5 has a metal frame and a covering of glass, which may indicate the presence of wireless charging.

Prominent tipster Evan Blass recently confirmed the existence of the Zenfone 5 Lite by tweeting a render of the device. In terms of colours, it will be available in Midnight Black, Moonlight White and Rouge Red.

Turkish president says helicopter downed in Syria
According to Reuters , an unnamed American military official said the strikes killed around 100 people in the Deir el-Zour region. The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 56 people, including 10 children, were killed on Thursday.

The newly unearthed shot sadly offers little information on the device. In addition to that, the phone sports a vertical dual-camera setup on the rear which again seems largely inspired by Apple's flagship. A LED flash flanks it on the left and a fingerprint scanner is below the camera setup which is shown to have a small bump. Stereo speakers sandwich the Type-C USB on the bottom portion of the smartphone.

Talking about the Zenfone 5 Lite, the smartphone will be coming with an 18:9 display with Full HD+ (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Screen size anywhere between 5.7-inch and 5.9-inch is an obvious thing here. There are two cameras on opposite sides of the earpiece at the top which are said to both be 20MP sensors.
