Stephen Miller Denies Being Escorted From CNN, Blasts Network's 'Low Journalistic Standards'

While senior White House adviser Stephen Miller's Sunday appearance on CNN's State of the Union seemed pretty unhinged for those just tuning in, it followed what's been a successful formula for him in the past: get into a shouting match with a "fake news" journalist, horrify the mainstream press, and earn praise from the White House and right-wing media.

"I think I've wasted enough of my viewers' time".

Before he was cut off, Miller fumbled when asked whether Trump met with Russian operatives after his son, Donald Trump Jr., got together with them in an infamous June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower. He proceeded to talk about Trump's ability to tap into a phenomenon that was overlooked by the political establishment, who he referred to as "so-called" geniuses.

Miller, in turn, scolded Tapper for making "condescending" and "snide" remarks and bashed CNN for airing "24 hours of negative, anti-Trump, hysterical coverage". "It's an amusing story but not a true one", said Miller.

"I'm sure he's watching and he's happy that you said that", Tapper responded. "I think he thinks about, I think he's aware of who is Jewish in a way that might give ... that feels creepy", he said. "And you're being obsequious, you're being a factotum in order to please him".

On Monday, CBS News reported that a source at CNN claimed Miller was escorted out of the building by security after ignoring several "polite" requests to "leave voluntarily".

Fox News host Tucker Carlson began the interview with Miller by suggesting CNN treated him like a MS-13 gang member by getting security to pull him off the set even though he was "not armed" or a "physically threat".

Miller could be heard protesting off-camera while Tapper moved on to the next segment.
