Seal Accuses Oprah Winfrey of Knowing About Harvey Weinstein's Behavior

And another that showed Weinstein approaching a cowering Rita Ora sitting beside Winfrey with the words: "But suddenly they all think you are the solution".

Oprah has gone on the record speaking out against Weinstein.

"Oh I forgot, that's right....", Seal added in the caption, "you'd heard the [rumors] but you had no idea he was actually serially assaulting young [starry]-eyed actresses who in turn had no idea what they were getting into". "My bad", he wrote, driving the point home with "#SanctimoniousHollywood". "To those of us who support the #MeToo movement, just know this: not one of the women who have been sexually abused, not one of the women who have come forward, has received any real justice whatsoever", he continued.

Winfrey addressed the allegations against Weinstein in a Facebook post last October.

And one woman who accused former president Bill Clinton of rape also wasn't buying Oprah's homage to Hollywood. "And I'm especially proud and inspired by all the women who have felt strong enough and empowered enough to speak up and share their personal stories".

Oprah Winfrey's January 2018 acceptance speech for the Golden Globes' Cecil B. deMille Award may have inspired calls for the entertainment mogul to run for president in 2020, but it also came with attempts to smear her character, which were usually baseless and nearly always in meme form.

The speech sparked calls from celebrities and other media figures for Winfrey to run, and within a day, sources had told CNN's Brian Stelter that the media mogul, talk show host, and actress was "actively thinking" about running.

Oprah is beyond doubt a magnificent orator.

"She loves this country and would like to be of service in some way, but I don't think she's actively considering it at this time", King said, noting that she spoke to Winfrey at length the night before. When asked whether she was thinking about doing so, her long-time best friend and CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King said she didn't believe Oprah was seriously considering it.

"I also know that after years of watching The Oprah (Winfrey) Show you always have the right to change your mind".
