NBA Fines Cavs' Isaiah Thomas $20K for Flagrant Foul on Andrew Wiggins

The last time Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue held one in Toronto was December 2016. Thomas was, of course, traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in order to get point guard Kyrie Irving in Boston.

A day later, they beat the Raptors 116-112.

"I've only played three games", Thomas said. Furthermore, the Cavs racked up 13 turnovers to Minnesota's five. The players have a combined 10 championships between them.

Lue reiterated that he would not be making any lineup changes - the slumping Jae Crowder and JR Smith will remain in the starting unit - but he did implore both players to be more aggressive when looking for their offensive opportunities. "From top to bottom, just play harder. we're anxious about other things other than playing hard". I'm still trying to get back in the thick of things, getting my rhythm, get everything back for me individually.

"We watched film and you can just see it", Thomas said.

Cleveland Cavaliers star Isaiah Thomas was fined $20,000 on Wednesday, January 10 following his ejection for a stiff-arm challenge on Minnesota's Andrew Wiggins, the National Basketball Association announced.

Quoth Meyers: "The only name that could make him angrier is the Hillary Mexico Salad Association". You're explaining something I already know.

Lue's goal of the film session was to hope his players would see it as a slap in the face to get their attention as they attempt to climb the standings in the Eastern Conference. Film doesn't lie, and we just got to be more physical.

"I don't think he should've been thrown out, but whatever", Lue added. When we don't and we let teams do what they want offensively it's tough, especially if you're not hitting on the offensive end.

In-season lulls are not foreign to the Cavaliers, who, despite tough stretches over the past three years, have reached back to back-to-back National Basketball Association finals.

Wiggins was able to return to the game and he played the remainder of the quarter.

"Yeah I think it's an effort thing. But at the same time, for me as a leader, we can't have lulls", Thomas said. I'm not sure if that could even be considered a silver lining, but sometimes in life you just take what you can get.
