Liverpool fans are reading an very bad lot into Naby Keita's goal celebration

RB Leipzig chief Ralf Rangnick insists he's in the dark over fresh talks with Liverpool about Naby Keita moving to Anfield this month.

Keita will join Liverpool next summer after the Reds paid an £8m premium on top of his £47m release clause.

But Leipzig do not want to lose Keita this month as they still remain in a battle to secure Champions League qualification for next campaign and find themselves in the round-of-32 of this season's Europa League.

But speaking before the game, director Rangnick said there had been no contact from Liverpool about changing the existing agreement, reported to worth some €70 million.

He was also inducted into the NSSA Hall of Fame in 1995, winning its National Sportscaster of the Year award five times in a row. Jackson is a member of the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame, and called more Rose Bowl games, 15, than any other announcer.

Liverpool had agreed a £48 million plus deal last August but Leipzig were eager to hang on to the 22-year-old for the duration of the season, unless the Merseyside club parted ways with an extra £13 million sweetener fee in January.

"We have always said that there's no reason to let Keita leave early and that's the way it will be".

However, Jurgen Klopp is keen to get the Guinean into his squad as soon as possible so he can adapt to the Reds' style of play, and believes he would be a huge asset in the Premier League in the wake of Coutinho's departure. "There is nothing more to say".

He might have got another for a foul on Max Meyer before Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuettl chose to take him off with just over 20 minutes remaining. Combining the two strands of information together appears to give the reports some legitimacy at least, though nothing has yet been confirmed by either club.
