Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt has life support turned off

Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt has had her life support turned off, nearly three weeks after a horrific Boxing Day auto crash that killed her parents and sister.

The Falkholt's vehicle was struck head-on in a horror Boxing Day smash on the NSW South Coast, south of Sussex Inlet, killing Lars Falkholt, 69, his wife Vivian, 60, and the driver of the other auto - 50-year-old Craig Whitall - instantly.

Jessica's parents, Lars, 69, and Vivian, 60, were killed instantly in the crash.

Annabelle died in hospital three days later, and Jessica had remained in a coma following several surgeries.

"He was very private and didn't like people talking about him but the worst part is, he has grandkids that can read, that are listening to it", she said.

Following reports her life support had been turned off, Home and Away tweeted: "Rest in peace, handsome Jessica Falkholt".

In the aftermath of the crash, the director of soon-to-be released Australian film Harmony, in which Falkholt has the starring role, described her as an fantastic actress who was "on her way to stardom".

On Friday morning she had her life support machine turned off, the day after the funeral of her two parents and sister.
