The Division 1.8 update delivers huge Resistance patch

Update 1.8 will be free for everybody who owns the game. Thankfully, Ubisoft has released the complete patch notes to Update 1.8, and fans can find them in full right here. It adds a new area called West Side Pier, which (as well as the usual open world activities) will feature two new modes of play. The first of these is Resistance, where different factions team up to fight against Division agents while enemy NPCs span in waves, while Skirmish is a PvP mode where two teams of four battle it out for the highest number of kills in a time limit. Waves of enemies spawn and players try to survive as long as they can. The former is essentially a team deathmatch mode with two teams of four pitted against each other. Keep an eye on the Gold section of your Xbox One dashboard if you don't want to miss the upcoming free weekend. Enemies drop resources that can be used to either set up defenses or extend the battlefield, offering more tactical options to the players.

Ubisoft is celebrating the massive update by making all three season pass add-ons - Underground, Survival, and Last Stand - free for all The Division players from December 5 to December 10.

YouTube employs more people to identify extremist video content
YouTube will also expand its number of reviewers that check to make sure ads run next to appropriate videos. This is the second statement in a month from Google about efforts to remove extremist content from YouTube.

Additionally, "Resistance", Update 1.8 will include a new social hub, improvements to the Underground DLC, a revamp of the rogue mechanics, as well as an optimization of the gear system letting players improve the stats of their favorite equipment. All DLC in the season pass will be free to all players, including those trying it for free, from December 5-10.
