Steelers LB Ryan Shazier taken to hospital with back injury

If Cincinnati defeats the Steelers (9-2) on "Monday Night Football", the Broncos would be officially eliminated from the playoffs. While Brown is now considered by many to be a game-time decision Monday night, the Steelers use of the questionable tag through 11 games played doesn't leave much optimism that Brown will ultimately play against the Bengals.

In the first quarter, Shazier tackled Bengals receiver Josh Malone and hit him head first.

What was particularly concerning was the fact that Shazier never actually moved his legs at any point after the injury.

5 coaches who could replace Willie Taggart
If Taggart is offered the Florida State job, he is expected to accept the position, with a formal announcement coming Tuesday. With the early signing period (Dec. 20-22) for football players rapidly approaching, time is of the essence.

Pittsburgh Steelers inside linebacker Ryan Shazier (50) is carted off the field during a stop in play against the Cincinnati Bengals in the first half at Paul Brown Stadium. He immediately dropped to the ground before reaching to his lower back and rolling over in clear discomfort.

The team announced that Shazier is being evaluated for a back injury but offered no further updates on his condition.
