Protection order filed against Oklahoma's leading rusher

Oklahoma is set to play against Georgia in the Rose Bowl on January 1, 2018, as one of the two College Football Playoff semifinals.

TCU linebacker Ty Summers (42) and safety Ridwan Issahaku (31) combine to stop Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson (24) after a short run in the second half of the Big 12 Conference championship NCAA college football game, Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, in Arlington, Texas.

The University of Oklahoma has not yet issued any further statement other than to say they are looking into this.

"There are undoubtedly true victims of sexual assault, for whom Mr. Anderson carries a tremendous amount of compassion".

An emergency protective order was filed Monday against Oklahoma's Rodney Anderson, accusing the running back of rape. She said she planned to take an Uber home to her apartment until Anderson's friends were "insistent" that she let the football star take her home. She said she initially remembered kissing Anderson and vomiting.

The woman says that over the weekend, through a conversation with a friend, she started "recalling images and feelings of him forcing his fingers" insider her and biting her.

According to the filing, the woman said she tried to get away and put her clothes on, but Anderson followed her and asked what she was doing.

The Washington Post does not normally name the victims of sexual assault.

He was ordered to pay the court costs in the protective order filing.

"The university takes seriously all allegations of misconduct and is continuing to collect information in this matter", the school said in a statement. Heading into the national semifinals against Georgia on January 1, it appears Oklahoma has another bad situation on its hands. This season, Anderson assumed the spot in the Sooners' backfield previously held by Joe Mixon, who was suspended for the entire 2014 season after he punched a woman at a Norman restaurant.

Anderson was the leading rusher for the Sooners this past season, gaining 960 yards on the ground with 11 touchdowns.
