Nate Diaz Hints He's Moving On To Boxing

If the McGregor-Pacquiao match happens, it will be only McGregor's second professional boxing match.

McGregor, the current UFC lightweight title holder, is the man who stepped outside Octagon and took on the one and only Floyd Mayweather under boxing rules in August.

Diaz hasn't fought since UFC 202 in 2016 when he lost a very close majority decision to Conor McGregor.

Diaz has spent the previous year on the sidelines watching Conor McGregor claim the UFC's lightweight title before crossing over into the world of boxing to take on Floyd Mayweather. He added that his camp had approached McGregor's about the possibility of a bout, "but we have not yet had any follow-up conversations".

"In the Philippines we don't have a problem (producing good boxers)", said Pacquiao, a hero in his home country and also a senator. "Stay fit my friend", Pacquaio wrote in the caption.

Conor McGregor looks to have created a trend when he faced Floyd Mayweather.

Pacquiao most recently lost his WBO welterweight title to the relatively unheralded Jeff Horn in Brisbane but was set for a rematch with the former schoolteacher, only to pull out due to political commitments.

"It depends who they can finalise as my opponent by April", Pacquiao said, stressing that the match had to be held during the lengthy Senate recess.
