The handset is IP68 rated water and dust resistant; it also has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on front and back for protection. The device features a 6 inch QHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

The LG V30+ runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with LG UX 6.0+ skinned on top. The display is an always-on one and also features a floating tab that can be customized as per use. Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform built on the 10nm FinFET process.

On the rear, the LG V30+ features a 16MP standard sensor with f/1.6 aperture and 71-degree field-of-view and a 13MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.9 aperture and 120-degree field of view. The former is supported by Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) and hybrid auto-focus. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The LG V30+ is the world's first smartphone to offer f/1.6 aperture. The phone is going to be launched at a time when the next generation flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S9 are just round the corner and could be shown in public in January or so. The device is powered by a 3300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and wireless charging support too. It is also world's first smartphone to support MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) technology for streaming high-resolution audio.

The phone comes in four colours including Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue, Lavender Voilet and Silver. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and Wi-Fi among others. The V30+ measures 7.3mm in thickness and weigh 158grams.
