John Travolta's new film Gotti dropped by Lionsgate

Lionsgate said, 'We want this movie.

Travolta says he found a partner in Edward Wilson, who has produced films like Woody Allen's "Cafe Society" and "Wonder Wheel".

Anyway, it's good news for "Gotti".

Helmed by Kevin Connolly, the biopic follows ill-fated mobster John Gotti (Travolta) who rises to the top of the NY underworld to become the boss of the Gambino crime family.

The speculation Travolta might be referring to is Twitter's reaction to the news that the film had suddenly been dropped, questioning if the actor might be joining the ranks of countless male celebrities who have recently been met with assault and harassment allegations, leading many to be dumped from their respective projects (ex. Kevin Spacey, Louis C.K.).

"The Tracking Board's Jeff Sneider first reported the news, further indicating that producers will seek new distribution soon", EW said.

Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Uttarakhand, Tremors Felt Across North India Including Delhi
However, no casualties have reported yet; the reports suggested Uttrakhand was the epicentre of the natural disaster . Media reports said that the tremors were felt in many parts of North India, including Chandigarh and Dehradun.

Lionsgate did not explain to Entertainment Weekly why it chose to not distribute "The Life and Death of John Gotti" when it sold it back to Emmett/Furla/Oasis. "That is the simple explanation for this". No word yet on why Lionsgate made a decision to drop the movie, but stay tuned... "I invited his group, they saw it and bought it", Travolta said.

Travolta and Wilson will now look for a new theatrical distributor.

EW previously confirmed that the film, directed by Entourage star Kevin Connolly, had been sold back to production company Emmett/Furla/Oasis, which was said to be seeking a new distributor for a 2018 release, as opposed to the originally planned December 15 theatrical bow.

"Our mistake was we should have said something right then, and discussed our plan for the film", Travolta said.

John Travolta (R) has rubbished claims his upcoming movie about mobster John Gotti (L) has been dumped.

"There are nice cars and fancy suits in the movie, but we're also showing where all that eventually leads", he previously told EW, adding, "HBO made a Gotti movie in 1996, but his death, which was disgusting, hasn't been covered too much". We'll find out sometime next year.
